This is a first prototype derivation of my Ohmstruder modified to use a NEMA17 5:1 planetary gearhead stepper motor. This is the beginning of the initial calibration print to find the correct steps/mm using a calibration object. The object I use is a bearing holder that is printed in two halves that fit together with tight tolerance. When the halves are loose, more extrusion is needed. Calibration is perfect when the halves snap together easily but tightly. I’m printing this initial calibration test at 0.1mm layer height.
